Painting Progress Continues!
When we were moving in August we literally had to paint every wall in the new apparent in about a week. We managed to get the bulk of the painting done before we moved in but we didn't touch the entryway, hallway or any of the trim in the house. So event though we are 90% done everything still looks unfinished. The last 10% makes such a huge difference!
In the past few weeks we finally made some progress! We finished painting all of the trim in the living room (windows, baseboards, and the trim around the new opening to the dinning room) and we made a good start on the paint in the front entryway. I'm so excited because the living room is actually done! and I can see the path to being able to use our entry in the not to distant future :) I'll post some nice before and afters in of the finished living room when I get a chance to straighten up a bit.
As for finishing the entry we still have a lot of painting to do. We decided to paint the dark wood paneling white and it is going to take a lot of pain to get it looking good. I also got some great hardware from etsy (hooks for coats and some brackets for shelving) so the finishing touches are in the works. One of my favorite things I picked-up for the space so far is a great drum light from CB2. The light is so soft compared to the track light that was in there previously and it makes a huge difference. Can't wait to get it all done!!!
